Chasing the Golden Ticket: How to Land Your Spots for the 2027 Masters

Let’s be honest—there is no place in the sporting world quite like Augusta National in April. The crisp morning air, the impossibly green fairways, the taste of a pimento cheese sandwich, and the roar of the crowd echoing through Amen Corner. It’s the ultimate bucket-list trip for every true golf fan.

But as we all know, getting through those gates isn't exactly easy.

If you want to be there to witness history next spring, the clock is officially ticking. The annual random selection process for the 2027 Masters Tournament is officially open, and if you want a fighting chance at scoring tickets, you need to act fast.

Here is everything you need to know to get your name in the hat.

The Game Plan: How to Apply

First things first: you can’t win if you don’t play. To start, you’ll need to head over to Masters.com and set up a free account. Once you're logged in, you can submit your application.

Here is how the ticket breakdown works:

  • The Options: You can apply for up to four tickets for any and all days. This includes the Monday and Tuesday practice rounds, the beloved Wednesday Par 3 Contest, or the main events—the tournament rounds from Thursday through Sunday.

  • The Catch: While we highly recommend checking the box for all seven days to maximize your odds, Augusta National rules state that you are only eligible to win one specific day. If you're one of the lucky few selected, you'll get an email notification in late July.

A Quick Warning from the Committee: Keep it official. Augusta National is incredibly strict about ticketing. Masters.com is the only authorized seller. Buying from third-party resellers or scalpers is a fast track to getting turned away at the gate, so stick to the official lottery.

What’s the Damage? (Ticket Pricing)

If your name does get drawn, you'll need to be ready to pay in full immediately. The good news? Ticket prices haven't budged from last year, and compared to other major sporting events, they remain one of the best values in sports:

  • Day / RoundTicket Price (Per Ticket)

  • Monday & Tuesday (Practice Rounds)$125

  • Wednesday (Practice Round & Par 3 Contest)$150

  • Thursday – Sunday (Tournament Rounds)$160

Note: The tournament rounds are drawn first. If you miss out on Thursday through Sunday, your application automatically rolls into the drawing for the practice rounds.

Final Verdict

It’s a lottery, meaning the odds are notoriously tough—but someone has to win them, so why not you? Clear your calendar for next April, get your application in, and cross your fingers.
